1 The appellant, Michael Edward Newsom, was tried by jury and convicted of First Degree Rape (Count I) (21 O.S.Supp. 1985 § 1114 [21-1114]), First Degree Burglary (Count II) (21 O.S. 1981 § 1431 [21-1431]) and Sodomy, Crime against Nature (Count III) (21 O.S. 1981 § 886 [21-886]), all After Former Conviction of Two Felonies (21 O.S. 1981 § 51 [21-51]), in Comanche County District Court, Case No. CRF-85-41, before the Honorable William M. Roberts, District Judge. The jury set punishment at twenty-five (25) years on Count I, twenty (20) years on Count II, and twenty-five (25) years on Count III. Judgment and sentence was imposed accordingly.
